We’ll use that information along with research into the surrounding environment, existing structures and local regulations to come up with ideas – and see what’s feasible.

All projects have parameters, and we’ll work with you to find a solution that fits within them – giving you the best results possible using the resources available.

How does your project start

We organise an initial meeting where you tell us about your goals and requirements. We inspect your site, describe the whole process in details, and do a quick assessment to see if there are obstacles to your plans. After the meeting, we send you a fee proposal with a list of work needed by your project and our cost.

Feasibility study

In the feasibility study phase, we and other experts assess the practicality and viability of a proposed project. We will talk to you and understand your brief. We evaluate factors such as your budget, the cost of the project, and potential challenges. We gather information about the site, including zoning regulations, terrain, infrastructure, and community-related aspects. Based on the research, we create a site sketch that considers density, land use, and other relevant factors. Depending on complexity, a feasibility study may involve collaboration between civil engineers and land planners. A well-executed feasibility study sets the foundation for successful project development!

Development Approval

In the approvals stage, our focus is on ensuring compliance and securing the necessary permissions for your project. We refine the conceptual design into a detailed architectural plan. This includes floor plans, elevations, 3D renderings. We also consider building energy efficiency. We work closely with you to finalise documentation. Your input and feedback are crucial during this phase.

We compile design drawings, create required reports, such as environmental impact assessments, and produce cost estimates. We prepare a comprehensive package for submission and approval. There are two options for obtaining development approval (DA). Projects that adhere to the Exempt and Complying Development Code can get expedited approvals through a private certifier; otherwise, a Council Lodgement is needed. We assist you in applying to the relevant authorities. Alternatively, we can handle the application process on your behalf.

Construction Documentation

In this crucial phase, we collaborate closely to create detailed plans that serve two essential purposes: certification preparation and guidance for builders. Certification ensures that the project complies with legal, safety, and quality standards and adheres to building codes, fire safety regulations, and environmental guidelines. Building documentation guides the construction team. Plans include details on structural details, waterproofing, plumbing, electrical and data wiring, HVAC schematics, joinery details and more. Builders rely on these documents to quote the construction cost and use plans during construction.

Advisory Services

During construction, we act as your navigators, ensuring you stay on course. Our expertise helps you make informed decisions throughout construction. Whether it’s about materials, processes, or unexpected challenges, we’re here. We troubleshoot problems, propose solutions, and keep the project moving. Remember, our goal is to be your construction ally!

We’ll support you from design to completion

Our work touches people at each point of the project. Without our drawings, contractors don’t have the guidance they need, and it’s much harder to achieve the outcomes you have in mind.

We’ll learn about your project to make sure we’ve taken into account local requirements – for example, if your site is heritage-listed or in a bushfire zone. We’ll also undertake a feasibility study to see if what you want is possible – or how we can make it so.

During the design stage we’ll craft drawings and prepare documentation for Council approval. These are essential for communicating the vision for the project, and in moving to the build stage.

Our work doesn’t end when construction begins. We’ll provide your builders with the documents needed to make your project a reality. And we’ll manage any questions or problems that might arise – ensuring that everything goes smoothly.
